Pre-School and Children's Sunday School

  • Class Description – Bible stories and age appropriate activities

  • Teachers – Cindy J. Hughes and Kristen Leeann  Waters
  • Class Description – Children enjoy crafts, stories, and play while learning about Jesus’ love
  • Curriculum Used - Sparkhouse, "Spark; Activate Faith"
  • Class Location – Room 122, 1st floor of Children’s Wing

  • Teachers – Rotation of loving teachers.  Peyton Davenport, Linda Forrest,  and Rev. Anna Kate Stephenson, Pam Thomason. 
  • Class Description – Children enjoy lively lessons, craft projects, scripture memorization, and activities. Children are nurtured to be thinkers and to grow in their relationship with Christ.

Youth Sunday School

  • Teachers – Ashlin Drake, Katie Newton, and Lucy Cauthen
  • Class Description – Class studies the Bible and considers how it can apply to our lives and what we are facing in the world today.
  • Curriculum Used – “Fathom: A Deep Dive Into The Story of God”
  • Class Location – Room 215, Second Floor

  • Class Description – Class studies the Bible and considers how it can apply to our lives and what we are facing in the world today.

Adult Sunday School

College Students

  • Teachers – Deborah and Allen McEniry. Co-Directors: Betsey Matheny and Marilyn Coleman. 
  • Type of Class – Class discussion using devotional guides.
  • Curriculum Used – Life Questions Every Student Asks: Faithful Responses to Common Issues
  • Class Location – Room 215, Second floor

Couples and singles; all ages

  • Teachers: Dianne King and Stuart Sprague.
  • Type of Class: The Seekers Class is a welcoming and affirming group embracing all persons regardless of ethnicity, religious background, gender identity, or sexual orientation. We are a conversation-based class focusing primarily on application of our Christian faith to everyday life. Affirmation and a safe environment in which to explore new ideas are important for us. Discussion topics are based on the Bible, select books, media, and current events, and often push the boundaries of traditional religious thought.

  • Class Location: Room 212, Second floor

Adult couples, singles, widows and widowers; ages mid 60s and up

  • Teachers – Dr. Jack Couch; Substitute teachers – Bill Menees & Ronnie Mullinax. 
  • Type of Class – Class has an opening assembly each Sunday morning with announcements, prayer requests and singing of one hymn.  Class is a teacher led, interactive class which uses a prescribed curriculum.

  • Class Location – Chapel

Adult couples; single adults

  • Teacher: Butch Hughes; Substitute teachers – Kathy Lloyd and Mrs. Diane Kennington, Randy Yelton. 
  • Type of Class: Lively discussion group with hearts for service to our church and community. 
  • Curriculum Used: Bible studies; supplement book & video series
  • Class Location: Room 208, Second floor

Adult couples and singles; ages 50 plus

  • Teachers – Brenda Mattison, Bill Menees, Zeke Stephenson, April Tucker. Teachers rotate weekly. Director: Debby Kimmel.
  • Type of Class – Class enjoys great fellowship time outside of class.  Bible teaching follows a prescribed curriculum.
  • Curriculum Used – Baptist Way Press 
  • Class Location – Room 214, Second floor

Adults mid 30s to mid 50s

  • Teachers – Zach Dickson.
  • Type of Class – An open discussion, interactive class which focuses on present day topics, current events, etc. and how they relate to Scripture.
  • Curriculum Used – No specific curriculum used.
  • Class Location – Room 108, First floor.


Lydia Group:

  • Class Makeup – Senior women; ages 75 and up.
  • Teachers – Janis Jennings, Elizabeth Simmons, and Donna Robertson. Teachers rotate monthly.
  • Type of Class – Teacher led open discussion on Bible scripture.  Note: The “Fellowship Department has an opening assembly the first Sunday of the month with singing, announcements, and prayer requests.
  • Curriculum Used – Connections
  • Class Location – Media Conference Room.

Class Makeup – Couples and singles; all ages.

Teachers – Johnny McKinney

  • Type of Class – A multi-age class where all are welcome... no exceptions, no asterisks. The class is discussion based and explores critical issues impacting the Christian journey. The class examines the biblical witness and utilizes books, article and various media reflecting the best of modern scholarship. We seek to live out Boulevard's vision of creating a caring community of faith that honors Christ, respects the individual , acknowledges diversity, encourages spiritual growth, and provides opportunties for service at the corner of Boulevard and the world.
